A “no” from Georgetown, but a scholarship offer from Santa Clara! Still consider W&M at the head of the pack so far, looking forward to more news soon…

    I'm so surprised at (& really disappointed in) GULC - you would be a tremendous asset. Can you petition the admissions committee to reconsider? It may be worth inquiring. That's to take nothing away from W&M (congratulations!) -- a first rate school with, by comparison, a substantially more cohesive student body.
  • I don't think I can, unfortunately. I'm actually not as disappointed, it's a great school but I've heard the students are ferociously competitive and that the administration is unapproachable. I'm more disappointed about Virginia, but I'm not taking any of them too hard. I'm happy with where I've been accepted so far, and looking forward to even more choices soon!
